Arashiyama hanare is a complete restoration of what was built before 1935. It was a loving restoration, with the participation of craftsmen with traditional carpentry techniques and the use of natural materials everywhere inside and outside. We worked hard to recreate the atmosphere where you can experience the traditional lifestyle. After sightseeing, you can soak in a large bath while looking out at the Nakaniwa Zen garden. ​

The total area is 55 square meters. Near the entrance is a traditional Japanese kitchen with the basic facilities for cooking. The kitchen floor is made of "tataki", a mixture of traditional shikui and soil. There are two tatami rooms, 3 tatami mats and 6 tatami mats, and futons can be laid in the rooms, which can accommodate 2 people.

We share a courtyard called "Nakaniwa Zen Garden" with the main house. The owner lives in the main house, but owner close the slide door all time during stay your stay that you can keep privacly. In addition, one of the owners is a master of Saga Goryu "Ikebana", and Ikebana will welcome you when you arrive.
